Important channels
MLB regular season games are televised regionally, with a regional sports network (RSN) for each major market that carries the bulk of the season. In Colorado, the local RSN is AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountains, however, as of 2023, AT&T Sportsnet RSNs shut down.
MLB is still working on a solution to broadcast affected teams, but it’s likely that MLB Network will play a major role for Rockies games in 2023.
When the Rockies are on national TV, ESPN, FOX, FS!, MLB Network, or TBS will have the game. Occasionally, the Rockies may also appear in a “streaming exclusive” broadcast on Apple TV+ or Peacock. When the Rockies are on national TV or a streaming exclusive game, AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountains will be blacked out.

From Denver
AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountains is available in Colorado, parts of Idaho and Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. You can view a territory map, here. For fans inside the viewing area, the live TV streaming streaming services below are both good options for streaming Rockies games, and both usually offer a free trial.
We like fuboTV for Rockies fans, first and foremost, as a cost savings over DirecTV Stream. Because fuboTV offers its RSNs in its base package, fans save $20 per month over DirecTV Stream’s premium “Choice” package. fuboTV offers more DVR storage at 1,000 hours on signup, and overall we enjoy the interface and experience using fuboTV better than DirecTV Stream.
fuboTV also allows fans to record an entire team’s season to DVR rather than selecting individual games. This is a feature that comes in handy for the long MLB season.
With the addition of Altitude Sports for Nuggets and Avalanche games, fuboTV is now a solid overall option for watching Denver pro sports teams. AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountains samples from pro teams across the mountain west region. The channel carries the Utah Jazz rather than the Denver Nuggets, and the Vegas Golden Knights rather than the Colorado Avalanche.
fuboTV is also one of our top pick for the Denver Broncos.

If you want to watch the Rockies, Nuggets, and Avalanche in the regular season, DirecTV Stream, as the only RSN that carries Altitude and AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountains, is the only game in town. You can also watch NFL games, as well as Broncos games, on DirecTV Stream.

Outside Colorado
If you live outside of Colorado, parts of Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming, you are classified as “out-of-market” for the Rockies, and will need to subscribe to MLB.TV in order to follow along with the Rockies season.
MLB.TV is the premium out-of-market option for MLB fans. With MLB.TV fans can circumvent the regional broadcast rules and watch any game they like, including Colorado Rockies games. If you want to follow just one team all summer, the rate drops to a one time annual fee of $109.99.
ESPN+ plays one out-of-market MLB game every day during the regular season. You can’t follow the Rockies season this way, but you can watch a fun lineup of out-of-market baseball games, which will sometimes include the Rockies.

National TV
The Rockies will appear on national TV from time to time. When this happens, AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountains will be blacked out. Here is how to watch the Rockies when they take the national stage.
