The most important channels for Braves fans
Here are the channels you need from a live TV streaming provider to watch the Braves this season. Local games will be broadcast regionally on Bally Sports South and Southeast, whereas nationally televised Braves games will be on FS1, ESPN, FOX, TBS, or MLB Network. A handful of “streaming exclusive” Braves games will also appear on Apple TV+ and Peacock as part of an exclusive deal they’ve cut with MLB for 36 regular season games each season.
DIRECTV STREAM – Choice | Fubo | Hulu + Live TV | Orange & Blue Sports Extra | YouTube TV | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

Note: Sling TV carries FOX, but only in select markets.
The best option for local Braves fans
When the Braves are on national TV, almost all of the live TV streaming services will carry the game.
However, for most of the regular season action, Bally Sports South and Southeast will be the regional sports networks (RSNs) that carry the bulk of Braves games for in-market fans. Sinclair Broadcasting owns the Bally Sports RSNs, and will continue to operate even amidst the Diamond Sports bankruptcy.
The good news is that DirecTV Stream is a “one stop shop” for all your sports streaming needs. Depending on where you’re located, Bally Sports Southeast will get you access to:
- Atlanta Hawks basketball
- Atlanta United FC
- Charlotte Hornets basketball
- Memphis Grizzlies basketball
- Carolina Hurricanes hockey
It is also possible to live stream the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons on WAGA-TV, FOX in Atlanta on DIRECTV STREAM. Note that DIRECTV STREAM lost the rights to NFL Sunday Ticket for the 2023 season. YouTube TV will now be the home of out-of-market NFL games.

Fubo carries all the channels MLB fans in Atlanta need to watch Braves games except for TBS. Because the NL playoffs are carried by FOX and FS1, the lack of TBS with Fubo isn’t as big of an issue as it would be for an AL team.
We gave DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” the nod due to unlimited DVR, but Fubo boasts an easy setup process and sports-centric features like Multiview, as well as an excellent 4K lineup for supported devices.
Fubo is also a strong choice for SEC and ACC football, with full coverage in its Extra or Sports Lite packages for teams like Georgia Tech, Clemson, UNC, Wake Forest, and others.
If you live outside of Atlanta
The good news for Braves fans is that Bally Sports South and Southeast have large MLB viewing territories because Charlotte and Memphis don’t have MLB teams. This means that fans across the southeast will be able to watch the Braves regular season. However, if you live outside of the Bally Sports Southeast viewing territory, paying for an out-of-market package will be required. If you want to watch every Braves game, MLB.TV is the only option. If you are content getting the Braves on occasion, ESPN+ broadcasts one out-of-market MLB game every day during the regular season, and the Braves, as a team with a national following will appear more than their fair share in this game.
MLB.TV is the premium out-of-market option for MLB fans. With MLB.TV fans can circumvent the regional broadcast rules and watch any game they like, including Atlanta Braves games. If you want to follow just one team all summer, the rate drops to a one time annual fee of $109.99.
When the Atlanta Braves are on national TV
When the Braves are on an exclusive national broadcast, Bally Sports Southeast will be blacked out. Here is how to watch the Braves when they don’t appear on the local RSN. Nationally TV games will sometimes air on TBS and ESPN, but also be aware that some of these games are “streaming exclusives” and only appear on Apple TV+, Peacock, or YouTube / YouTube TV.

Watching the Braves FAQ
If you live in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and western North Carolina, you can watch Bally Sports Southeast as an in-market fan. Outside of these regions, it will be necessary to subscribe to MLB.TV to watch the Braves out-of-market. We recommend adding MLB.TV to a YouTube TV account rather than signing up on Amazon Prime.
No, the Braves don’t play on FOX Sports Southeast. FOX Sports Southeast was shut down and renamed Bally Sports Southeast when 21st Century FOX was sold to Disney.
