Watch the Suns live today
Phoenix Suns 2022-23 viewing guide.

You can live stream Suns games on most major streaming devices, including Roku, Apple, Google, Samsung, and Amazon products. Both DIRECTV STREAM and Bally Sports Plus carry Bally Sports Arizona, the regional sports network that broadcasts most Suns regular season games to sports fans across Arizona.

However, the DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” package is the only platform that offers Suns fans full coverage of the 2022-23 season, including national TV games and playoff games. Out-of-market Suns fans can watch the team with an NBA League Pass subscription.

The most important channels for Suns fans

During the regular season, most Suns games are broadcast by Bally Sports Arizona, the same regional sports network (RSN) that carries Diamondbacks and Coyotes games.

During the NBA playoffs, things change to national broadcasts and the only channels you need to watch the Suns are ABC, ESPN, and TNT.

Can I watch the Suns on Sling TV?

Sling TV is a good option for watching the Suns if:

  • You live out-of-market (you can add NBA League Pass to a Sling TV account)
  • You want to watch the Sun’s playoff run

If you live in-market and want to watch the Suns, Sling TV isn’t a good option as the platform doesn’t carry Bally Sports Arizona.

One of our concerns at Streaming Stadium is the rising cost of live TV streaming services. It’s one thing to have fans priced out of attending a game in person, it’s another entirely for couch potatoes to be priced out of the market. Sports streaming needs more affordable options, and Sling Orange, with its full lineup of ESPN channels, is best in class.

Sling TV Orange gets you: ESPN and TNT, as well as ESPN 3.

ESPN 3 is important because Suns fans can use their Sling TV login to access ESPN 3 on the ESPN app to simulcast ABC’s coverage of the NBA Finals. By using this streaming workaround, you can save more than $30 per month vs. competitors. It is also possible to get an air antenna to stream local channels on Sling.

A note on the Arizona Cardinals:

Sling TV carries FOX 10 KSAZ-TV in the Phoenix market, which means Arizona Cardinals fans can stream local NFL with Sling TV, but an upgrade to Sling Orange & Blue will be required because Sling Orange does not offer FOX.

Can I watch the Suns on DIRECTV STREAM?

DirecTV Stream is a great choice here for Suns fans despite the high cost of its premium “Choice” package. Why?

Because DirecTV Stream is currently the only live TV streaming provider that carries Bally Sports Arizona, the RSN that carries the majority of the Suns regular season, as well as ABC, ESPN, and TNT in one package. If you want to watch the Suns all season long, including next season’s action, DirecTV Stream “Choice” is the play because of its contract with Sinclair owned Bally Sports Arizona.

Note: DirecTV Stream and DirecTV Stream “Choice” both carry the channels you need to stream the playoffs, so to save money, it might be a good idea to stream the playoffs using the base DirecTV Stream plan and then upgrade to DirecTV Stream “Choice” when the NBA regular season starts back again. Of course, this option won’t work if you plan to watch the Diamondbacks this season.

You can watch FOX 10 KSAZ-TV, the local FOX affiliate in Phoenix, on Sling TV Orange & Blue.

Read our DirecTV Stream review for sports fans.

Can I watch the Suns on Hulu + Live TV

Hulu does not carry Bally Sports Arizona so the platform is not a regular season option for Suns fans, but you can stream the Cardinals, and other NFL games, on FOX 10 KSAZ-TV, the local FOX affiliate in Phoenix with a Hulu + Live TV account.

Hulu + Live TV carries ABC, ESPN, and TNT, all the channels you need to watch the Suns playoff run.

Read our Hulu + Live TV sports review.

Can I watch the Suns on YouTube TV?

You can’t watch the Suns in-market with a YouTube TV account because the platform doesn’t carry Bally Sports Arizona. Out-of-market Suns fans can watch the team by adding an NBA League Pass subscription to their existing YouTube TV account.

YouTube TV carries the channels you need to watch the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs, and is your best bet for watching games in 4K.

Read our YouTube TV sports review.

Can I watch the Suns on fuboTV?

fuboTV is one of our favorite sports streaming platforms, and while fuboTV carries ABC and ESPN, TNT and Bally Sports Arizona are lacking.

At present, fuboTV isn’t a good option for watching the Suns in-market, or in the playoffs.

However, you can add an NBA League Pass subscription to a fuboTV account, which makes the platform a good solution for out-of-market Suns fans who want to watch the bulk of the regular season.

Can I watch the Suns on BallySports Plus?

You can watch most regular season Suns games on Bally Sports Plus if you live in Arizona.

You cannot watch nationally televised Suns games, most playoff games, or out-of-market broadcasts on Bally Sports Plus.

How can I watch the Suns out-of-market?

Do you live in NYC, LA, Cleveland or Miami, and want to watch the Suns live stream? NBA League Pass is your best option. You can signup for NBA League Pass à la carte on Amazon Prime, or the package can be added to an existing YouTube TVSling TVfuboTV, or DIRECTV STREAM account. Suns fans take note: if you live in Phoenix, NBA League Pass will be blacked out in favor of Bally Sports Arizona’s TV rights.

Can I watch the Suns playoff games on Bally Sports Arizona?

Bally Sports Arizona will only air opening round playoff games for in-market Suns fans. You cannot watch most of the Suns playoff games on Bally Sports Arizona.

Under the current NBA TV deal, ABC, ESPN, and TNT have exclusive rights to broadcast the NBA playoffs, which means that Bally Sports Arizona will be blacked out.
