If you can’t make it to Oracle Park this season to watch the Giants in person, there are several good options for live streaming San Francisco Giants games. Because NBC Sports Bay Area is carried by several streaming providers, Giants fans can “shop around” and see which platform best suits their needs. Due to ease of setup and the inclusion of Big 10 and ACC Networks, our top pick for watching the Giants is fuboTV, but YouTube TV offers a competitive 2-week free trial for Bay Area baseball fans.

Our software lists the upcoming TV schedule with streaming options below.

This team does not have a televised game scheduled in the next two weeks.

Important channels

The local regional sports network (RSN) that carries Giants games in the Bay Area is the aptly named NBC Sports Bay Area. For the Oakland Athletics, it’s NBC Sports California. This is good news for Giants fans because, as the table below demonstrates, several live TV streaming providers carry NBC Sports Bay Area.

Pitchers park?

When you are live streaming the Giants, watch for home runs. Many MLB commentators consider Oracle Park a pitcher’s park because the depth of the outfield, at 339 feet, extends further than many other parks.

For Bay Area MLB fans

NBC Sports Bay Area is broadcast in Central and Northern California, Nevada, and Southern Oregon. If you live in one of these area, the options below are all great for streaming Giants games.

Although they recently raised prices a bit, which we don’t like to see, we recommend fuboTV here because they carry both NBC Sports Bay Area and California, and because you can save an entire team’s season to DVR, which is a major plus for long MLB, NHL, and NBA seasons. If you will miss some daytime Giants games because of work, it’s easy to “set it and forget it” by simply recording the entire season to DVR.

NFL fans can stream KTVU, FOX 2 on fuboTV to watch the San Francisco 49ers.

The downside of a fuboTV subscription is the platform doesn’t carry Turner Media properties like CNN, TNT, and TBS. This is an issue for NL teams like the Giants because, after the Wild Card Round, the NL playoffs are on TBS.

Yes, you can watch the Giants on Hulu and it’s a great option for fans in NorCal. We love Hulu + Live TV. I have used every live TV streaming service and I seem to keep coming back to Hulu.

Hulu carries NBC Sports Bay Area and California, and you can confirm you will get these regional channels by entering your zip code into Hulu’s channel finder.

NFL fans can stream KTVU, FOX 2 on Hulu + Live TV to watch the San Francisco 49ers. Through its ESPN+ bundle, Hulu offers a diverse lineup of out-of-market MLB and NHL action.

Yes, DirecTV Stream “Choice” is the most expensive option for streaming Giants games, but it does carry NBC Sports Bay Area and California, and you can get NFL games on DirecTV Stream as well.

Yes, you can live stream Giants games on YouTube TV. The platform carries NBC Sports Bay Area and California, as well as all the channels you need to watch the Giants on national TV. YouTube TV, through its Library feature, boasts unlimited DVR in its base package. You need a Google account to sign up, but many sports fans will enjoy the extensive 4K lineup and innovative features the Alphabet owned streaming service has built.

Outside the Bay Area

If you don’t live in Central or Northern California, Southern Oregon, or Nevada, you are considered an out-of-market fan, and NBC Sports Bay Area won’t be available to live stream. However, you can still watch the Giants on MLB.TV.

MLB.TV is the premium out-of-market option for MLB fans. With MLB.TV fans can circumvent the regional broadcast rules and watch any game they like, including San Francisco Giants games. If you want to follow just one team all summer, the rate drops to a one time annual fee of $109.99.

National TV

When the Giants are on national TVESPN, FS1, FOX, MLB Network, or TBS will carry the game. To make matters more confusing, and expensive for MLB fans, Apple TV+ and Peacock both have purchased the rights to their own regular season games, which will be streamed exclusively on their platforms. Apple’s games will be Friday doubleheaders and Peacock’s will be on Sunday mornings. When the Giants are in a national game, or a streaming exclusive, NBC Sports Bay Area will be blacked out.

When the Giants are on national TV, a streaming exclusive game, or in the playoffs, here is how to watch all of the action.
