In this Clemson football viewing guide, I will walk Tigers fans through the best options for watching Dabo do his thing on Saturdays.

DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” with its coverage of ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network, and regional sports networks for ACC on RSN games, is the most complete option for Tiger fans. Fubo and YouTube TV are the best options for 4K enthusiasts.

Important channels

The ACC signed a TV deal with ESPN which runs through 2036. Under the terms of that contract, Clemson games will usually appear on one of four channels: ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and the ACC Network. The same principle applies to watching Clemson basketball, although the men’s hoops team will appear more often on ACC Network than the football team.

“ACC on RSN” games

Clemson RSN broadcasts have confused fans in recent years, so adding a platform that carries RSNs like MASN and Bally Sports Southeast is a nice insurance policy to guarantee complete coverage of each Clemson football, and basketball, season. For more, see our guide to ACC on RSN games.

Our picks

fuboTV is one of our favorites for streaming football, both NFL and college, and the platform carries all the channels you need to live stream every Clemson game this season. Upgrading to fuboTV’s Elite Plan will allow NCAAF fans with supported devices to stream some games in 4K.

As an added bonus, fuboTV memberships can be put on pause during the football off-season which is a convenient way to save money if your main reason for signing up is to watch college football.

One drawback: an upgrade to the “Extra” or “Sports Lite” package is required to get access to ESPNU and fuboTV doesn’t carry all of the RSNs that air ACC on RSN games.

DIRECTV STREAM “Choice,” while pricey, carries all the requisite channels for ACC football, including Clemson.

In addition, if you want access to NBA, NHL, and MLB games from your local teams, like the Braves for example, DIRECTV STREAM, with its selection of regional sports networks, provides the most coverage in the southeast.

Hulu + Live TV is a good choice. Although Hulu lacks most RSNs in the southeast, the platform does offer ACC Network, which is a key channel for Clemson football and basketball.

Hulu + Live TV subscribers can access ACC Network Extra on the ESPN app with their Hulu login credentials.

The lack of ABC here means many of Clemson’s big games will be blacked out, but the availability of ESPN, ESPN2, and the ACC network aren’t bad for the price.

Another benefit of Sling Orange + Sports Extra is the ability to access ACC Network Extra via TV everywhere on the ESPN app. ACC Network Extra is especially important for watching ACC basketball.

YouTube TV carries ACC Network in the base package, as well as all the channels you need to live stream Clemson football. Some games may be broadcast in 4K on YouTube TV if you upgrade to the 4K package. The one drawback of YouTube TV is a full Google account is required to signup.

YouTube TV also gives fans access to ACC Network Extra on the ESPN app using the YouTube TV login credentials.

Player to Watch – #2

Keep an eye on star QB Cade Klubnik, who wears number 2 for the Tigers. He is Clemson’s highest rated player in the NIL rankings and is the key to Clemson’s success this year.

FAQ

How can I watch Clemson football live on my phone?

A recent poll of Gen Zers found that 80% prefer to watch live sports on their phones. All of the major live TV streaming services offer mobile apps for Android and iOS, but my top pick for watching Clemson on mobile is Fubo. Fubo’s setup process on mobile is fast and intuitive enough to satisfy younger Tiger fans who set the bar higher when it comes to technology.
