Important channels

Because Duke Football isn’t likely to be in the mix for an ACC Championship, the team’s games will appear on the networks that usually broadcast games between unranked teams. For the ACC, this means ACC Network and ESPN2. Under the terms of the ACC’s TV contract with ESPN, It’s possible Duke games could appear on ESPN, and ABC as well, but don’t count on it. Duke basketball games air on the same channels, but the Blue Devils hoops team is on ESPN and other national games more than the football team.

Our picks

We like Hulu + Live TV here because the service carries the ACC Network in the base package, which is an important channel for Duke fans.

DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” carries ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and the ACC Network. As an added bonus, DIRECTV STREAM’s “Choice” package gets you access to Bally Sports Carolina and Bally Sports Southeast for Charlotte and Atlanta pro sports.

fuboTV is our top pick for watching the Carolina Panthers. The service gets you the channels you need to live stream Duke Football, but an upgrade to either “Extra” or “Sports Lite” is required for accessing ESPNU.

Sling Orange + Sports Extra is a good budget solution for watching Duke Football. You get ESPN and the ACC Network , but the lack of CBS will be a tough pill for Duke hoops fans to swallow.

The upside is the ability to watch ACC Network Extra on the ESPN app with your Sling TV login credentials.

Although a Google account is required to signup, I love YouTube TV for watching football and the platform carries the channels you need to stream Duke games, including ACC Network in the base package.

YouTube TV also allows ACC sports fans to access ACC Network Extra on the ESPN app with YouTube TV logins.

The Duke defense will be a force to be reckoned with under new head coach, Manny Diaz.
