Important channels
Most Hurricanes games are regional broadcasts to fans in North Carolina, and across the southeast, on Bally Sports South. Formerly called FOX Sports South, Bally Sports South usually carries about 74 Hurricanes games for local fans. When the Hurricanes are on national TV, the games air on ABC, ESPN, TNT, and TBS.
ESPN+ airs most out-of-market Hurricanes games, but also features 75 exclusive streaming only games on its platform. When the Hurricanes are featured in an exclusive ESPN+ game, or an exclusive national broadcast, Bally Sports South will be blacked out.

From the Carolinas
If you are an in-market fan, you can watch the Hurricanes entire season on DIRECTV STREAM “Choice.”
DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” gets Hurricanes fans full NHL coverage, with both regional and national games, as well as ACC Network, NFL, MLB, and NBA games.
In Raleigh, Carolina Panthers fans can watch the team most Sundays on WRAZ-TV FOX 50 Raleigh, and in Charlotte on WJZY FOX 46 Charlotte with DIRECTV STREAM.
Fubo carries Bally Sports RSNs for local Hurricanes coverage, but lacks TNT which means major gaps in national and marquee games. Although the lack of TNT isn’t ideal for hockey, Fubo offers the channels needed to watch UNC and NC State sports all year long.
Bally Sports Plus offers in-market Hurricanes coverage for 74 regular season games, as well as some first round playoff action. Games that air on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, TNT, and TBS can’t be viewed on Bally Sports Plus, the platform is a one channel subscription.
If you want to watch the Hurricanes entire season, as well as the NHL playoffs, DIRECTV STREAM is a better option than Bally Sports Plus.
Out-of-market
ESPN Plus is now home to the NHL’s out-of-market TV inventory. This means you can watch the Hurricanes on ESPN+ if you live outside of the Bally Sports South TV region.
ESPN+ doesn’t carry every Hurricanes game. Exclusive ABC, ESPN, and TNT games, as well as out-of-market games that air on NHL Network, are not available on ESPN+.
