When will Bally Sports North be blacked out?
Although Bally Sports North is an excellent choice for local Timberwolves, Twins, and Wild fans, there will be some games that are blacked out due to TV contracts that assign exclusive rights for certain nationally televised games to channels like ESPN.
An example is Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Through its parent company Disney, ESPN has contracted for 30 exclusive regular season ML games. When the Twins appear in one of these broadcasts, Bally Sports North will be blacked out.
The same is also true for exclusive NHL games, and most notably Stanley Cup Playoff games, that Turner Sports has negotiated to air exclusively on TNT and TBS.
As a general rule though, Bally Sports North is a great option for watching the majority of Minnesota sports action.
