From time to time, Root Sports Northwest will be blacked out when a Seattle or Portland team appears on an exclusive national TV broadcast. For example, if the Mariners appear on Apple’s new Friday Night Baseball lineup, the game would be blacked out on Root Sports.
Can I watch the Seattle Seahawks on Root Sports Northwest?
No, you can’t watch the NFL on Root Sports. Some Seattle sports fans are confused when they see the Seahawks logo displayed on the Root Sports Northwest website because it gives the impression that the channel carries Seahawks games. Unfortunately, Root Sports does not have the TV rights to show Seahawks games, instead they carry commentary on the team. In Seattle FOX 13, KCPQ will carry most Seahawks games.
