America’s past time is gearing up, spring training in full force, and baseball fans are getting excited to see the Boys of Summer return to their TV screens. But, with Diamond Sports Group, a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, on the brink of bankruptcy, many are wondering what’s going to the Bally Sports Regional Sports Networks, which Diamond owns. Bally has the rights to broadcast live games for 14 MLB teams, but what happens if Diamond misses payments and teams terminate their contracts with the regional sports network? The league says not to worry and assures those games will be broadcast, which will make MLB Network much more important this season for teams with Bally Sports RSN contracts.

14 MLB Teams Impacted by Diamond Sports Group Bankruptcy

Here are the 14 MLB teams that may have their regular season coverage shift to MLB Network and MLB.TV this season:

As the name suggest, the MLB Network is dedicated to covering Major League Baseball. The network provides up to 25 live games per week, featuring all 30 MLB teams, as well as original programming, documentaries, analysis of the latest news and trends in the world of baseball. It also airs special events like the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.

Which live TV streaming services carry MLB Network?

How to signup for MLB Network

To get these streaming services and access to the MLB Network, you’ll need a high-speed internet connection and a compatible device. You can watch these services on your TV using a streaming device like a Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV. You can also watch them on your computer or mobile device using a web browser or the service’s app.

To sign up for these services, simply visit their websites and follow the instructions. You’ll need to provide your payment information and choose a subscription plan. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to start watching the MLB Network and all your favorite baseball content.

Watch MLB Network on fuboTV

With fuboTV’s Elite plan, you get the MLB Network along with other sports channels like ACC Network, NBA TV, NHL Network, Pac-12 Networks and SEC Network.

Another added bonus with fuboTV Elite is the ability to watch live sports in 4K, including the World Series on FOX.

Watch MLB Network on DIRECTV STREAM

As with many of its premium sports channels, DIRECTV STREAM requires an upgrade to the more expensive “Choice” plan in order to watch MLB Network.

Watch MLB Network on Sling TV

Sling TV is a popular streaming service that offers a variety of channels, but to get the MLB Network live-stream, you need to upgrade your Sling Orange plan with the Sports Extra add-on for an additional $11 per month. When you do, you also get ESPNU, Longhorn Network, MLB Strike Zone, NBA TV and NHL Network.

To get FOX in select markets, an upgrade to Sling Orange & Blue + Sports Extra is required.

Perhaps one of the biggest beneficiaries of the demise of Diamond Sports Group is Sling TV. You can’t watch any RSNs on Sling, but with Sling TV Sports Extra you can live-stream MLB Network. If MLB takes back its TV rights from Diamond Sports and streams a larger lineup of games on MLB Network, Sling users will have more access to baseball than ever before.

Does YouTube TV carry MLB Network?

YouTube TV currently doesn’t carry MLB Network over a carriage fee dispute. However, it has been widely speculated that the platform will once again add MLB Network now that the regional sports network model seems to be on the brink of collapse.
