What live sports can I watch on CBS?

If you are a sports fan, you must have CBS, it’s that simple. The sporting events I am most look forward to watching on CBS in the coming months are:

CBS is the network that brings you the Masters and PGA golf, NCAA Basketball, the NFL, SEC Football (for one more year, anyway), and now Big Ten Football. This is the last season that CBS will air the SEC Game of the Week, which is the SEC’s biggest football game that usually kicks off at 2:30 CST.

CBS will air Big Ten Football this season

Disney (which owns ABC and ESPN) has acquired the rights to broadcast all SEC football games starting in 2024, taking away the conference’s SEC Game of the Week on Saturdays from CBS. In order to ensure that the network would still feature college football, CBS moved fast to sign a deal with the Big Ten.

CBS, along with FOX and NBC, will share the rights to the Big Ten’s football and basketball games in a seven-year, $7 billion media rights deal which will string the conference’s top football games across the networks each week in an NFL-style television schedule on Saturdays.

This season, CBS will air 7 Big Ten Football games. Starting in 2024 and running through the 2029-2030 season, CBS will carry 14-15 Big Ten football games a season, including a game on Black Friday. The network will continue to be the home of Big Ten men’s basketball, airing the semifinals and finals for the conference, and it also will air the women’s basketball tournament championship.

That’s a lot of sports coverage for a lot of fans. Despite the name, the conference currently has 14 members but will soon expand to 16 when USC and UCLA join the Big Ten in 2024.

How to watch live sports on CBS with Fubo

For football fans who want access to live college football and NFL games, many of which will be carried by CBS, fuboTV delivers. In addition, the sign-up process is quite intuitive and seamless, and subscribers can stream 10 devices concurrently.

How to watch live sports on CBS with Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV offers subscribers access to local affiliates like CBS which is crucial for watching live sporting events, but the platform also offers the ability to watch older games on demand, ad-free.

How to watch live sports on CBS with YouTube TV

YouTube TV carries local CBS affiliates nationwide, which means sports fans can stream major sporting events, like the Masters, NCAA Basketball, NFL football, NCAAF, and more with a YouTube TV subscription.

How to watch live sports on CBS with Paramount+

Yes, sports fans can watch their local CBS affiliate with a Paramount+ Premium membership. Unlike Peacock, which doesn’t offer NBC affiliates, but instead features select NBC content, Paramount+ features CBS affiliates nationwide, including the “NFL on CBS” franchise for watching popular AFC teams like the Bengals, Bills, Chiefs, Broncos, and more.

Unfortunately, you can’t watch out-of-market NFL games with Paramount+.

How to watch live sports on CBS with Sling TV

Unfortunately, Sling TV doesn’t carry CBS in any of its packages, the only way to watch CBS on Sling is with an air antenna that must be installed separately.

Cord cutters who want to watch CBS on Sling TV need to take the extra step of buying, and setting up, an air antenna. This means that Sling TV won’t be a great option for most fans to watch Super Bowl LVIII which will air on CBS from Las Vegas on February 11, 2024.

Sling TV only offers ABC, FOX and NBC in select markets
