ACC fans are often confused about how to watch ACC Network Extra because it’s not a channel that can be viewed on cable, or even directly on a live TV streaming service. Access to ACCN Extra is determined by your pay TV provider.
- Unlike ACC Network, which is a TV channel widely available on cable and streaming services, ACC Network Extra programming lives on the ESPN app.

Whether you are a cord cutter, or a cable TV subscriber, your access to ACCN Extra is determined by your Pay TV package. If your Pay TV package carries ACC Network, you can use the login credentials to login to the Watch ESPN app and live-stream ACC Network Extra. There has been some confusion about access to ACCN Extra on streaming blogs, with many sites reporting that DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo lack ACCN Extra. This is wrong. To quote an ESPN circulated PDF on ACCN Extra access:

Keep in mind that unlike ACC Network, ACC Network Extra isn’t a TV channel, it is a streaming only lineup of ACC sports that can be viewed on the ESPN app. In order to watch ACC Network Extra, ACC sports fans should use their live TV streaming, or cable TV, login credentials and use them to login to the ESPN app. This system can also be viewed to access ESPN3 programming (which is valuable for the NBA Playoffs), as well as an alternative way to watch Monday Night Football.

How to watch ACCN Extra on the ESPN app
- Determine whether your pay TV provider carries ACC Network
At present, these cable and streaming services carry ACC Network: Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, DIRECTV (satellite) Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Spectrum, Xfinity, Verizon FiOs, AT&T, DISH Network.
- Write down your login credentials
Have your username and PW ready for accessing your pay TV provider account
- Make sure you have downloaded the ESPN app
You can download the ESPN app to your iPhone, Android, Tablet, or Smart TV. If you haven’t yet downloaded the app, it can be downloaded, here. If you plan to watch on a laptop or computer, you can also watch on your web browser.
- Login to the ESPN app using your email and PW from your pay TV provider
Use the login information you jotted down to access the ESPN app. The ESPN app will want your email and PW from your pay TV provider.
- Select the Play icon at the bottom of the screen
The Play icon is where the ESPN sports programming, including ACCN Extra lives.
- Scroll down to the Channels section and select the ACCN Extra icon
The ACCN Extra icon is listed next to the ACCN icon and after the ACC option under the Leagues category.
