Watch the Penn State Nittany Lions live without cable on the device of your choice, including Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Roku, and more.
Table of Contents
It’s easy to watch the Nittany Lions live without cable from most streaming devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TV, iOS, Android, and more. In this Penn State football viewing guide, I will walk you through all the best ways to live-stream PSU football.
Although you can watch PSU’s 2024 football season on YouTube TV, Hulu, Fubo, or DIRECTV STREAM, our top pick is Fubo. Fubo is fast and intuitive to setup, has an interface designed around sports fans, and offers all the channels you need to watch the Nittany Lions in the base package, including Big Noon Kickoff on WWCP-TV FOX 8 in 4K, as well as NBC Sports Philadelphia for watching Philadelphia pro sports in-market.

Important channels
The Big Ten’s TV rights are held by CBS, FOX, and NBC which makes it easy to predict where Nittany Lions football games will air.
FS1 and Big Ten Network, as properties owned by FOX and the Big Ten respectively, will feature less sought after Big Ten matchups while FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff airs the week’s premier Big Ten game.
Important Big Ten matchups will also air on CBS and NBC, and FOX has the TV rights to broadcast the Big Ten Championship game. Because Penn State’s famous “White Out” games happen at night, they will always air on either FOX or Big Ten Saturday Night on NBC.
Reader Note: Although neither regional sports network carries PSU Football, I am including NBC Sports Philadelphia in the table below because many fans who sign up for college football will also want to choose a streaming service that carries regular season MLB, NBA, and NHL.

Penn State player to watch in 2024 – #15
Our editorial team selected Penn State’s second-year 5-star QB, Drew Allar, as the player to watch for the Nittany Lions this season. The talented QB from Medina, OH looked like the best of the bunch in Penn State’s QB room last season, but James Franklin was loyal to senior Sean Clifford. As scrappy as Clifford was under center for the Nittany Lions, Allar is a major upgrade and could be the player that finally helps get PSU over the hump versus Ohio State and Michigan. We predict Penn State will fall short in Columbus, but will beat UM at home in 2024
Top picks
fuboTV is our top pick for live streaming PSU Football. The service carries all the channels you need for watching both NCAAF and NFL games, and is also our top pick for watching the Eagles and Steelers.
If you’re looking to get a game on in a hurry, as many fans who find our site are, setting up fuboTV is fast and easy, and is even a good option for family members who are technologically challenged.
fuboTV also carries NBC Sports Philadelphia in its base package which gives Pennsylvania sports fans access to regular season games from the Phillies, Pirates, and 76ers. While Fubo also carries AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburgh, that channel will soon be shut down.

You can live stream PSU football on Hulu + Live TV.
Hulu carries all of the new Big Ten Football channels for 2024, including CBS, FOX, NBC, FS1, and the Big Ten Network, all in its base package. As an added bonus, Hulu’s ESPN+ bundle gets you access to UFC events, tons of college football, lots of soccer, and out-of-market NHL and MLB games.
Hulu carries NBC Sports Philadelphia in its base package.

Although a Google account is required to setup, we love YouTube TV for streaming football and the platform carries all the channels PSU fans need to watch James Franklin and company compete for a championship.
The service carries all the 2024 Big Ten football channels, offers a very respectable 4K package, and the Stats View and Key Plays feature make ESPN’s Gamecast feature redundant. YouTube TV is an innovator in the world of sports streaming.
YouTube TV carries NBC Sports Philadelphia, but not AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh (which will soon shut down).

DirecTV Stream carries all the channels you need to live stream PSU football, but there is a catch. Unlike the other services listed here, DirecTV Stream doesn’t offer the Big Ten Network its base package and instead folds it into the more expensive “Choice” plan that is the best option for watching regional sports networks in many markets, especially LA and NY.
DirecTV Stream carries AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, but not NBC Sports Philadelphia, which means no Flyers or 76ers regular season games. Sports fans in Pennsylvania are better off with fuboTV which offers better and more extensive sports coverage at a lower price point.

It depends on where you live as Sling TV only carries local channels in select markets, and offers none in Happy Valley.
However, if you are a Penn State fan in Philly or NYC, you can get both FOX and NBC on Sling TV Blue, as well as FS1. Add to that Sports Extra and you get Big Ten Network. This means Sling TV Blue + Sports Extra offers almost complete coverage except for Peacock games and CBS broadcasts. Adding Paramount+ to a Sling TV Blue account to get CBS is still a good bit cheaper than signing up for Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or DIRECTV STREAM.
FAQ
The Big Ten’s new TV contract features a national primetime game on NBC called Big Ten Staurday Night. When the Nittany Lions play in one of these night games on NBC, the game will be simulcast on Peacock. In addition, and in a move that is sure to be controversial with fans, Peacock will also have the rights to 8 streaming exclusive Big Ten football games each season that will only air on Peacock, and PSU will be featured in one of these games. In 2024, the week 2 home game versus Delaware will only be available on Peacock.
