Sling Blue + Sports Extra gets you PAC-12 Network and FS1, but not ABC or ESPN (Although you can upgrade to get ESPN channels). I’d estimate Sling Blue + Sports Extra will get Huskies fans about 8-9 games in 2023 as Seattle is a market that can watch FOX on Sling.
Why we are watching UW football in 2023
Washington is on my short list of teams to watch in 2023 for a few reasons. First, as an Indiana grad, I am rooting for Michael Penix, UW’s star QB. Penix transferred from IU to Washington and has thrived as QB1 in Seattle; we hope he can improve his draft stock this season. Next, it is possible that UW will end up in the Big Ten, the conference I follow the closest. I want to get a sense of the state of the UW program to see whether they can match up with teams like Ohio State and Michigan.

Having used Hulu + Live TV on and off for several years now, I can say from first-hand experience that the platform has done a nice job improving user experience, and has even added unlimited DVR to keep pace with competitors. It’s easy to save football games to DVR in Hulu, and to follow the entire season of your favorite team.
Absent PAC-12 Network, DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” offers the channels needed to watch UW football, plus Root Sports Northwest for Seattle and Portland pro sports, and some Gonzaga basketball coverage.
