MMA Junkie announced Joe Rogan will be calling the fight.
Despite Max Holloway having to drop out due to an injury, our team at Streaming Stadium is more excited for UFC 273 than for any other MMA event this year. Why? The three fights at the top of the card all have the potential to be epic.
Why we want to watch UFC 273
The Korean Zombie gets a title shot
The main event features a featherweight title bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Chan Sun Jung (“The Korean Zombie”). While we would prefer to watch the Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway trilogy, seeing the Korean Zombie get a long awaited title shot will be fun, especially as he has tightened up his fighting style recently to take less damage.
USA vs. Russia rematch
Ever since he was disqualified with an illegal knee to a grounded fighter in their bout last year, we’ve been itching to watch the Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling rematch. Many MMA fans (falsely) claimed Sterling faked a concussion after “the knee,” which he has vehemently refuted on Twitter. And while that criticism was unfair, Yan was winning the fight before the DQ, so it will be interesting to see if that momentum carries into this fight for the Russian fighter.
Is Chimaev the soon to be welterweight champion?
Then there is Khamzat Chimaev vs. Gilbert Burns, the high level welterweight fight every MMA fan wants to see. Chimaev is a Chechyn born Swedish fighter, and 3 time Swedish National Champion, who has barely taken a punch in the UFC, and has just mercilessly mowed down his opponents. While many expect Gilbert Burns to give him a run for his money, our staff think Chimaev will be the welterweight that dethrones Kamaru Usman, the UFC’s most dominant champion since George St. Pierre.
UFC 273 miscellaneous
The UFC 273 main card features 3 Russian fighters: Yan, Chimaev, and UFC veteran Aleksei Oleinik. Let’s remember that these athletes have nothing to do with the Russian government, and show them the respect they deserve.
Many fans, as well as UFC analyst Jon Anik, complained of an environment at UFC Columbus, the UFC’s last event, that was too hostile to fighters. A friend of ours was at the fight and wished he’d stayed home for the live stream instead of sitting ringside.
The “boobirds” ruined UFC Columbus. It was like watching fights with 2,000 Colby Covington fans.

Can I watch UFC 273 on Hulu + Live TV?
Yes, Hulu + Live TV’s ESPN+ bundle is seamlessly integrated into the Hulu viewing experience, which means you can watch UFC PPV direct from Hulu. In fact, this is the way I have been watching most UFC events lately.
However, it isn’t any cheaper to watch on Hulu.
