How to Watch the Tennis Channel Live Without Cable

You can live stream the Tennis Channel on most major streaming devices, including Roku, iPhone, and more, with fuboTV “Sports Lite,” Sling Orange + Sports Extra, or DIRECTV STREAM “Choice.” The cheapest option for watching the Tennis Channel is Sling Orange + Sports Extra, a package that also includes ESPN and ESPN2.

If you are in the market for a more robust sports lineup, DIRECTV STREAM “Choice” or fuboTV “Sports Lite” are the best options.

If you are a fan of the sport, you won’t find another place with as much tennis programming as the Tennis Channel. Founded in California in 2001 by sports entrepreneur Steve Bellamy, a group of investors known as “Viacom Mafia” (named because the group included former Viacom CEOs) joined the venture and together they owned the Tennis Channel until The Sinclair Television Group, owner of the Bally Sports regional sports networks, purchased the channel in March 2016. Today the Tennis Channel brings you 1,300 live matches from the biggest tennis tournaments, plus thousands of on-demand matches, highlights, analysis, documentaries and more.

Although live tennis airs on several different channels, you may be wondering if you need the Tennis Channel. For example, some matches air on NBC, NBCSN or ESPN but these networks often don’t air the early rounds of tennis matches live, whereas the Tennis Channel does. The truth is you won’t find a better place that has all the tennis the sport has to offer – including the Citi Open, WTA Tour, the ATP Tour and Masters 1000 – than the Tennis Channel.

Some content on the channel is free, though you will need a streaming service or cable TV account to access the live matches and other content. Sure, you also can view the content on the Tennis Channel Website, but streaming services provide the freedom to watch a slew of sports, shows and movies on just about any device, including a smart TV, mobile device, computer or streaming player – at home or on the go. Plus, they are much more affordable than cable TV and they don’t lock you into long-term contracts, meaning you can cancel at any time.

What is the Tennis Channel Plus?

To add just a bit of confusion, let’s discuss the Tennis Channel Plus, a premium service that offers access to more than 3,500 live and on-demand matches from more than 100 ATP and WTA events.
